How to Install Google Play Store on Windows

Requirements to Install Google Play Store on Windows 11:-

Before you can see the steps that work in the Google Play Store Windows 11, you need to download the following files and software to your Windows 11 machine:

Download the 7-Zip or any WinZip option to help find the Windows subsystem for the Android MSIX package, which we will show you how to download in the section below.

Download Windows Subsystem for Android Package:-

If you already have the MSIX package for the Windows subsystem for Android, you can go. If not, open this website and follow the steps below to officially grab the package from Microsoft Server.

After opening the RG-Adguard website, select “ProductID” from the drop-down menu on the left side of the textbox. Then, you need to paste WSA’s Microsoft Store Product ID, 9P3395VX91NR in the text field. Next, select the “Slow” ring from the drop-down menu to the right of the textbox and click the OK button.

You will get a long list of results. Scroll down to find a msixbundle file of about 1.21 GB and select “Save as Link” to download the file. Note that clicking on the link will not download the file to some popular Windows browsers.

Managing the Windows Subsystem for Android Files:-

Now that Windows 11 has all the files we need to install the Google Play Store, we need to rearrange them before we can proceed. Just follow the steps closely to get started.

Now that you have downloaded the WSA package, open the 7-Zip software and locate the MSIX bundle in the Downloads folder. Note that trying to open the MSIX bundle with 7-Zip from the context menu does not work in this case and maybe an error. You need to rely on 7-Zip software to locate the file.

Once you open the MSIX bundle, find a file ending with “Release-Nightly”. There will be two files named “six”, one with ARM64 and the other with x64. Select x64 one and open it.

Next, open the C: drive and create a folder called Windows Subsystem Android.

Then, go back to the 7-zip window and copy everything except AppxMetadata,AppxBlockMap.xml, AppxSignature.p7x. You can press the Ctrl key and select them with the Windows 11 keyboard shortcut Ctrl + A, and then click to select the names of these files.

Now, paste the files into the “Windows Subsystem Android” folder.

Similarly, create a GApps folder inside the C: drive.

Next, find the GApps ZIP file that we downloaded above and copy it. Next, navigate to the GAppsWSA folder and go to the GAPPS folder. Paste the GApps ZIP file here. It does not need to be extracted.

Go back to the WindowsSubsystemAndroid folder and copy vendor.img, system.img, system_ext1.img, and product.image.

Now, navigate to the GAppsWSA folder and paste these four .img files into the #IMAGES folder.

Patching WSB to Install Google Apps on Windows 11:-

Once you have deleted all the files described in the section above, go ahead and open Linux on Windows Terminal. Type sudo su and press Enter. Now, enter the password for Linux. This will give root access to Linux. Next, type the following commands to install some of the required packages in Linux. You may have to press “Y” to allow installation.

Next, we run the following commands one by one to go to the GAppsWSA folder created on the C: drive. Note that there is a space between the CD and the dot.

Once you are in the GAppsWSA folder, run the following commands one by one.

After doing this, run the following commands one by one. The whole process will take some time so be patient.


Install Google Play Store on Windows Subsystem for Android:-

Now comes the part you are eagerly waiting for, install the Play Store to easily install Android apps on your Windows 11 PC and log in to them using your Google account. Just follow the steps below to proceed.

Press the Windows key, search for PowerShell in the Start menu, and click “Run as Administrator” to open it.

Next, run the following command. This will start installing the modified WSA on your Windows 11 PC.

If you get an error, you need to enable developer mode in Windows 11 to fix the problem. Open Windows Settings -> Privacy & Security -> For Developers. Here, under developer mode, turn on “Install apps from any source, including loose files”. Now, run the command above, and it should work fine.

Restore the Kernel on Windows Subsystem for Android:-

When everything is done and the Play Store is running on your Windows 11 machine, you need to recover the original kernel file. To do this, follow the steps below closely:

Close all windows and open the WSA settings page. Here, turn off the Windows subsystem for Android. You should wait until the loading mark disappears.

Now, go to the Windows subsystem Android folder on C: Drive and open the tool. Here, rename the kernel file and root the kernel by returning it to the kernel. You did it.
