It’s legal to keep bees in Seattle proper, but my yard isn’t big enough to comply with the setback regulations. Also, I love the little critters, but kidlet is terrified of them, so no bees for me - maybe someday! If you do have a big enough yard, you can keep bees yourself, or do a yard rent with a local beekeeper in trade for some honey. If you’re looking for a beekeeper that might want to set up a hive in your yard, a lot of cities have beekeeping groups - visit a meeting and strike up a conversation.
